During the year 1997 when Hong Kong was handed over to China, the Hong Kong Post Office put on sale miniature postboxes (coin boxes) which have Royal Crown on them symbolizing Hong Kong as a colony of England. At that time, people queued up for hours to purchase this item and we can imagine how "hit" these kind of miniature postboxes were! Now, the philatelic society counters located in 32 local Post Offices have the above 2 kinds of postbox souvenirs for sale. Collectors can order them from the Hong Kong Post web.
